Pets are a part of the family, showing us unconditional love and joy. And when you want to go out, you want to be able to bring the whole family to grab a bite, or a cold one. These establishments welcome your furry friend to dine in or enjoy the sunshine outdoors.

On an acre of professionally developed park grounds, BrewHound Dog Park + Bar is a place built for dogs and their owners, with delicious cold and hot beverages on tap in a relaxing, beautiful environment. Located in Neptune Beach, and open every day but Monday, BrewHound features Bold Bean coffee and local craft beers and wines. There are lawn games and large screen TVs for special events and sports, and for the pups, there are separately fenced-in large and small breed dog parks that allow unleashed freedom for play. Brewhound’s “Ruffarees” keep watch over pups and keep play safe and friendly.

The Riverside Arts Market (RAM) is a local artists, artisans, farmers and makers market hosted under the canopy of the Fuller Warren Bridge – open every Saturday, rain or shine, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This weekly community market is produced by Riverside Avondale Preservation as a means to advocate for small businesses and farmers of Jacksonville. Grab a bite to eat and the freshest of local produce; attend Morning Yoga at 9 a.m.; and enjoy the fresh air with your dogs (cats are welcome too!).

Founded in 2007, Bold Bean is a locals’ favorite, with locations in Riverside and Jax Beach. Known for making beautiful, clean coffees sourced from around the world, their roasting methods highlight the coffee origins’ characteristics and enhance its natural sweetness and vibrancy.  They also have breakfast sandwiches, pastries, bagels and more treats – and a dog-friendly outdoor patio. Flamingo Coffee is located in Murray Hill in Jacksonville and has a new location in St. Augustine on Anastasia Boulevard. Serving up delicious coffees and teas, Flamingo is an all-day coffee bar that serves beer, wine and sake, and is pet-friendly.

For the beer-loving crew, head to Wicked Barley Brewing Company with your pup for delicious craft beer with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The brewery includes over 2,000 square feet of restaurant, tap room, covered patio and pet-friendly waterfront beer garden – you can even access it by kayak or boat! Located on the banks of Goodby’s Creek, this beautiful waterfront brewery serves house-brewed beers, ciders and meads, with a menu of appetizers, burgers, salads, sandwiches and a kid’s menu. For a cold one in St. Augustine, head to Bog Brewery on West King Street, where all beer is brewed on site in their historic taproom. Bog is dog-friendly with a large outdoor seating area and a delicious taco truck on-site.

If you and your pets like music and a lively scene, head to St. Augustine’s downtown Plaza de la Constitución for Nights of Lights, which will soon light up the city in a magical glow. Running from November 15, 2025, through January 11, 2026, the city will be lit with millions of twinkling lights. After the holiday season, from May through September, Concerts in the Plaza will take place every Thursday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Bring a chair or a blanket and listen to the best local and regional musicians. Pack a picnic basket, or walk over to a nearby restaurant before or after the show. The pet-friendly St. Johns County Ocean Pier Park in St. Augustine Beach is another great spot for pets who love music, holding Music By the Sea concerts every Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. These concerts also run from May through September.
