10 Reasons to Call World Golf Village Home

WGV EntranceThere are about a million reasons to live in our St. Augustine golf course community. From the nature at every turn to the level of quality in every detail of this master-planned community, we’ve got it all. When I did a little research, I discovered that 19 of Davidson Realty’s (and Companies) employees live, work, and play in World Golf Village. Talk about believing what you sell! I thought who better to describe a community than the people living in it!

We chose to buy in GroveWood because every time we drove through looking at houses, we saw families playing outside.  We loved the sizes of the yards.  We also loved the beautiful drive through the King and Bear. – Kristen Calhoun

Royal Pines FountainI feel like I’m driving onto an island when we come into Royal Pines since there are two bodies of water on each side of the road as you enter.  I love the way it’s a dead end street – one way in and one way out. I love the sidewalks on both sides of the street and mature oaks line the parkway. It’s the largest body of water in World Golf Village. I could go on and on! – Pauline and Woody Cake

We like that Turnberry is so convenient to I95 and has its own neighborhood pool. We felt that the pool would be a great place to meet neighbors. We love the entry into the neighborhood; I find it so restful to drive in with beautiful trees in the island between the traffic lanes and water views on both sides. The seasonal flowers and plantings used in the landscape add color and just make coming home each day so very pleasant. – Lynn Whitley

2-5When looking for a house my husband and I wanted a community with large lots, gated and everything green and beautiful.  Waterbury offered all of that and more.  The neighbors are friendly and the welcome sign as you enter the front gate always gives us a warm feeling. – Margherite MyersCommunity_Pool

I love living in Heritage Landing because as you drive into the community you can see the beautiful landscape and my 3 grandchildren (who live with me) enjoy the use of the amenities, as well as the sports programs, without having to leave the immediate area. They’re joined by the same children they go to school with, which brings me to the fact that because we live in Heritage we get to go to one of the best school systems – St. Johns County. The neighbors are like a big family, we have a lot of fun with block parties, cook outs and get-togethers. – Mirtha Barzaga

I love the variety of homes in Royal Pines. Some are brick, some stone and others stucco in a variety of styles. I like being closer to I-95. I love living on the mile long lake because it is so peaceful. – Sherry and Jim Davidson

We came to Florida to apply for my husband’s green card and had every intention of building on a lake front lot that I owned north of Charlotte, 8 years ago.  We fell in love with Waterbury!  Peter lured me into buying the house on Crown Drive by taking me out to the far back corner of the lot and describing how he was going to start the waterfall for my pond in that location.  His vision convinced me that this was the house to buy! – Juana Husted

Nature 8242E CMYKLiving in GroveWood gives me the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the King and Bear neighborhoods. I feel like I’m driving through a park or arboretum.  My father would take us through the town of Riverside, IL on our weekly visits to my grandparent’s home.  To those unfamiliar with the town, Riverside was planned by Frederick Law Olmsted considered the founder of American landscape architecture. The ride down the winding streets under the canopy of trees was never long enough for me.  Driving along Oakgrove Ave. gives me the same feeling I experienced as a child. – Kathy Mrkvicka

WGV has always been special to me from the moment I came to work at Davidson 12 years ago.  I remember watching the houses go up in the neighborhoods and thinking how I would love to not only work out here, but live out here as well.  Several friends bought homes in Turnberry and I felt so envious of not only their short ride to work, but the beautiful neighborhood that they lived in.  I remember dreaming of being able to live in one of those homes as well.  That dream became a reality 4 years ago and I can promise you that reality is every bit as good as the dream! – Cindy Vaughn

I chose Waterbury East for several reasons. Den Street offers beautiful golf course lots featuring holes 2 & 3 and beautiful nature preserve lots. Just off the round-about from the back gate, Den Street is a beautiful secluded neighborhood of its own. I enjoy taking my puppy for long walks, meeting my neighbors and watching the sunrise over the King & Bear. – Sharon King
