Did Someone Say Happy Hour? Check out the Best Local Spots in St. Augustine!

Posted by: Peyton Davidson in Local Activities, Tips, Videos

St. Augustine is a special little town known for its Spanish architecture, history, shopping and outstanding restaurants. Davidson Realty’s Graphic Designer Matt Burkhart and I recently took a trip to the oldest city in search of the best happy hour spots in town. Luckily for us, the locals were happy to point us to the three best places to stop and wet your whistle during the day!

A1A Ale Works: Our first stop is A1A Ale Works, known for their fresh seafood featuring a variety of Caribbean, Cuban and Florida influences. You cannot beat the second story view overlooking the Matanzas Bay. Ale Works features seven award winning, handcrafted beers (four seasonal craft beers that rotate and three craft beers on tap year ‘round). You can also enjoy dollar off beer and $2 off house wines. Make sure to give their appetizer specials a try!

Pizzalley’s Chianti Room: Pizzalley’s Chianti Room is probably the #1 local happy hour spot. Enjoy happy hour pricing inside or outside, live music, and two-for-one on any drinks (liquor, beer or wine). You also get a free slice of gourmet, brick oven cheese pizza with your drink! What’s not to love?

Scarlett O’hara’s: Scarlett’s has won “Best Bar” by Folio Magazine eight years in a row, so it’s no surprise it’s a local hot spot. Happy hour runs all day, every day. Enjoy $2 domestic draft beers, $3 imported craft draft beers, $3 Three Olives flavored vodka, sangria, Sailor Jerry’s rum and Irish whiskey.

We hope you enjoy our Happy Hour video and give our recommendations a try while visiting St. Augustine! If you are considering relocation or need help buying, selling or renting anywhere in Northeast Florida, please give any of our experienced agents a call at (904) 940-5000.
