Friday Night Live at the Renaissance: The perfect way to kick off your weekend!

Thanks to the Renaissance Resort’s Friday Night Live, you don’t need to travel far to enjoy great entertainment and fun! The weekly event features live performers from 6 to 8 p.m.

Festivities kick off at 5:30 with a complimentary, chef inspired hors d’oeuvre. Patrons can also enjoy a complimentary mixologist’s choice cocktail served until 6 p.m. when musicians take the stage.

Here are the upcoming performers at Friday Night Live:

Clay Benjamin:Clay is a guitar master specializing in soul, R&B, funk and smooth jazz music. In fact, he played as Al Green’s lead guitarist for two years! His album “Daddy’s Home” was released in 2017.

Clay’s Friday Night Live dates:July 6, July 20, July 27, August 3, August 24

Pierre Kendrick: A tour de force on the saxophone, Pierre is known for infusing his music with heart and soul. He has traveled around the world playing with blues and jazz musicians like Jackiem Joyner, Matt Marshak and others. Pierre released his first solo album “My Only Love” in 2016.

The Captains:Local favorite The Captains are returning once again to The Renaissance to perform. Get your dancing shoes ready!

World Golf Hall of Fame offers free admission on Father’s Day

If thinking about Father’s Day leaves you without ideas, plan to visit the World Golf Hall of Fame on Sunday, June 17! The museum will be offering FREE admission for dads and their immediate families. In addition, Dads are invited to take a swing on the Challenge Hole, a replica of TPC Sawgrass’s 17th island green, for just $5.

The Hall of Fame will also launch its newest exhibit, Tales from the Collection, on Father’s Day.

This is huge savings as regular admission is $20.95 for adults ($19.95 for seniors, Florida residents and military), $10 for students, and $5 for kids 5-12 (4 and under are free).

The museum will be open from noon to 6 p.m. on Father’s Day. Escape the heat and make Dad smile by visiting the World Golf Hall of Fame on his big day!

2017 World Golf Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony set for Sept. 26

Be sure to tune in to the Golf Channel on Tuesday, September 26 to watch the World Golf Hall of Fame’s 2017 Induction Ceremony, broadcast live from Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. WGV Speaker Series welcomes Davidson Development President Jim Davidson

Jim, who is President of Davidson Development, was the driving force behind the community’s strategy, establishment and growth.

Back to School Supply Drive Benefiting Our St Johns County Schools THIS weekend!

Did you know that hundreds of children in St. Johns County qualify as homeless? Let’s come together to make sure they have what they need to start their school year off right! Davidson Realty agent Mirtha Barzaga is hosting a Back to School Supply Drive on August 5th and 6th to collect items like backpacks, pencils, lunch boxes, highlighters, calculators, colored pencils and more!

The Supply Drive is to support children in need from Kindergarten through eighth grade at our local schools. Women’s Bible Study Kicks Off May 4th in World Golf Village!

Come one, come all! Davidson Realty agents Shelley Nemethy and Pam Lareau are hosting a new women’s Power Hour Bible Study starting tomorrow, May 4th at Davidson Realty’s World Golf Village office.

The 7-week Bible Study is based on the book Seamless, written by Biblical teacher and author Angie Smith. The study will focus on understanding the Bible as a whole and is a perfect fit for anyone regardless of knowledge of the Bible.

Shelley will host the World Golf Village study on Thursdays from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at 100 East Town Place in St. Augustine. Pam hosts the Jacksonville Beach study on Thursdays from 6 to 7 p.m. at 1500 Beach Boulevard, Suite 215.

Take an (imaginary) dip into Poppie’s Pond at World Golf Hall of Fame March 27 – April 2

To commemorate the 46th ANA Inspiration, the LPGA’s first major championship, the World Golf Hall of Fame is hosting a week-long exhibition from March 27 to April 2.

The tournament is held annually at the Dinah Shore Tournament Course of Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California. It is perhaps most famous for being home to Poppie’s Pond, adjacent to the 18th green, where each year’s winner celebrates by jumping in.

World Golf Speaker Series is coming beginning March 7!

Davidson Realty, Inc. and Realtor Shelley Nemethy are preparing to launch a World Golf Speaker Series to provide real estate related information to all WGV residents (and future residents)!

Each quarterly event will be held at Davidson’s headquarters in World Golf Village and include a featured speaker and refreshments provided by Bank of England.
