The 19th Annual Murray Bros. Caddyshack Charity Golf Tournament is coming to World Golf Village this Thursday and Friday, April 25 and 26. Although the player spots are sold out, you can still stop by to enjoy parties, dinner, auctions and music concerts, all to help raise funds for local charities.
Over the past 19 years, the tournament has become renowned, raising more than $4 million–a true Cinderella story!
While golfers take to the course throughout the days, plenty of action will be happening at Murray Bros. Caddyshack Restaurant. Dinner and cocktails will be provided by the restaurant in addition to special events:
- On Thursday, enjoy a Pairings Party from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m., which includes Dinner & Cocktails, live and silent auctions and live music throughout the evening.
- On Friday night, come for a Celebrity Concert Jam & Dancing from 7 p.m. to midnight.

The World Golf Hall of Fame & Museum and the City of Jacksonville have just unveiled a new exhibit titled “Golf Heroes of the First Coast” in celebration of Black History Month. The 1,500 square-foot exhibit is now on display at the historic Ritz Theatre and Museum in downtown Jacksonville (829 N Davis Street).

The World Gold Hall of Fame recently kicked off its newest exhibit “Grace & Grit: Women Champions Through the Years.” The exhibit celebrates the sport’s most accomplished female champions from the early 1940s to present day, including highlights of 28 Hall of Fame members (as well as potential members).
The exhibit features plenty of treasures from decades of women’s professional golf. Visitors can see a Women’s Titleholder’s Championship green jacket presented in 1965 to Kathy Whitworth, who holds a record 88 tour wins (more than any other professional golfer—male or female).

The world is ramping up to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, and the World Golf Hall of Fame is celebrating with a new exhibit dedicated to golf’s place in Olympic history.
Dubbed “Road to Rio: Golf’s Return to the Olympics,” the exhibit features two rare gold and silver medals won by H. Chandler Egan at the 1904 Summer Games, information about the Olympic qualifiers, changes to Olympic uniforms from 1900 to today, and more. Visitors can even have a photo taken on the Olympic podium holding their country’s flag.
