The Village Church at World Golf Village is an Inter-denominational Christian Church focused on “Giving our Neighborhoods a Great Place to Worship!” From humble beginnings in the early 2000s, The Village Church has become a spiritual hub of activity, offering engaging youth programs, adult bible study, community service projects, Weight Watchers meetings and a variety of other activities for all ages. The active and energetic congregation found at The Village Church shows that great things are achieved from humble beginnings.
Pacetti Bay Middle School Principal Sue Sparkman announced last week the school was awarded the renowned International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program designation following a stringent and lengthy evaluation process. Pacetti Bay is the only middle school in northern St. Johns County to have received the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program honor. The process for Pacetti Bay to become an IB school began soon after the school opened in 2005. The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programs of international education and rigorous assessment. These programs encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.

Last month, we introduced you to Adam Roller, President and Chief Operating Officer for the new St. Augustine operations of Inland Homes. Inland Homes St. Augustine currently has spec homes under construction in our St. Augustine golf course community so we welcomed the opportunity to learn more about the company and its exceptional customer service. We were impressed, especially when Adam explained they conduct a pre-dry wall inspection for every new Inland Homes’ house constructed.
It’s back to school season and our World Golf Village and north St. Johns County area families will find some changes as they head back to school on August 20th including the addition of the new Palencia Elementary School and a new Principal at Mill Creek Elementary School. The opening of Palencia Elementary School this month brings with it rezoning that impacts some families previously zoned for Mill Creek Elementary. The St. Johns County School District website provides an easy to use address look-up to find out which schools your elementary, middle and high school student is zoned for.
