Like many residents who settle into the World Golf Village area, Lynn and Craig Stambaugh were attracted to our area’s warm sense of community, great location, and abundance of golf.

Lynn, a registered nurse working in IV home care, and Craig, a mechanical engineer who works on fighter jets, initially owned World Golf Village property about 10 years ago but opted to sell it. However, when they began considering a place to live when they retire, World Golf Village stood out as a great option. As Lynn says, “We came down in 2012 and there were some beautiful lots for sale, so we took the leap…again!”

The most successful, competitive and accomplished athletes train with their minds. They can close their eyes and literally picture – and see – how to execute a routine, make a move, lead and score. They are able to imagine themselves in the winner’s circle.

After 20 years of home ownership and raising a family, I recently put my home on the market – thinking surely someone would come along and “see” and “sense” what we experienced over those years.

As a new home buyer, you know all about the concept of creating and maintaining a “sense of place”, once you settle on your house choice. You look for places that have character and homes that have charm. Spring cleaning is often a daunting exercise and can stretch out for days and weeks, even a month or two. But completing a thorough spring cleaning within one weekend is absolutely achievable. Here is a day-by-day guide courtesy of Davidson Realty.

FRIDAY: Declutter day

Utilize day one to eliminate clutter throughout your house. Take an empty laundry basket and move room to room collecting anything that is not in its assigned “home.” This includes clothes, old mail, books and magazines, papers, toys, shoes, etc. It is all too easy to amass these items throughout the year in corners and on bookshelves.

The greenest day of the year is almost upon us! This year’s St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Friday (March 17) and St. Augustine is revving up for a great time.

St. Augustinians will kick off local festivities this weekend (March 10-12) with the 7th Annual Celtic Music and Heritage Festival located on Francis Field in the historic district. Echoes of bagpipes will fill the streets on Saturday, March 11, as a tartan-clad procession marches through St. Augustine’s streets for the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Plan to arrive early; the streets along the procession fill up quickly!
