This month we are taking a closer look at Davidson Realty agent Pauline Cake’s favorite World Golf Village community, Royal Pines. Pauline is one of the many Realtors that calls Royal Pines home. Pauline and I happen to be experts on Royal Pines. She has lived in the community for over 5 years and I have lived there for over 10 years. As Pauline explains, driving into the community feels like driving onto an island because there’s water on both sides of the community. The 40-acre lake that engulfs the community is perfect for canoeing, fishing or bird watching.

Davidson Cares’ first event of the school year, Novemberfest, was a huge success racking in over $8,000 for Wards Creek Elementary, Mill Creek Elementary, Palencia Elementary and Pacetti Bay Middle School! World Golf Village parents, teachers, residents and friends had a great time at Mile Marker Brewing rocking out to Dos Gringos, enjoying the Moe’s Southwest Grill Taco Bar and bidding on amazing silent auction and raffle items all for the St. Johns County Schools.

Delicious ice cream and game day munchies are here! Dairy Dugout recently opened in World Golf Village’s West Town Place Plaza (next to Cino’s) and our WGV residents couldn’t be more excited for their weekly lunch specials and ice cream galore! I recently stopped by Dairy Dugout for a sweet treat and was very pleased with my vanilla and chocolate swirl ‘Chang Up’ loaded with Reese’s Cups and Snickers.

You would be hard pressed to find a better example of dedication to community than Shelby Heinemann. A resident of Heritage Landing since 2004, Shelby has become a fixture in the World Golf Village scene. In fact, if you live here or have kids in the area’s schools, you have likely seen her busily helping out at school, showing properties to potential new residents, or smiling and waving at neighbors. For Shelby, it’s these seemingly small gestures that add up in a meaningful way.
Shelby has been a Property Manager with the Davidson Companies since May 2012 and boasts almost seven years of experience in the Property Management field – most of that experience garnered in World Golf Village. A mother of three, she is also an active education advocate within St. Johns County Schools and a Davidson Cares Board member. Davidson Cares is an organization that offers support for local schools, including Mill Creek Elementary, Wards Creek Elementary, Palencia Elementary, and Pacetti Bay Middle School.

If you ask Don Poppleton what inspired him and his wife Barbara to relocate from New England to World Golf Village more than 10 years ago, he might say it’s partly in the name. A champion golfer, Don now enjoys beautiful views of the King & Bear from his back yard in Windmill Estates and close proximity to top notch courses and amenities.
Don has also secured a position as a notable contributor to the community. He is currently serving in his second term on the Member Advisory Committee for the World Golf Village Golf Courses Club, and concluded his term as President last year.

Davidson Realty’s team took an afternoon to leave our World Golf Village-based office and make our way to Julington Creek for lunch at 
Blackstone Grille. We had heard wonderful things about the bistro style restaurant located at Bartram Oaks Walk (close to the intersection of SR13 San Jose and Race Track Road), but we had to try it for ourselves. Our group of 30 was graciously greeted and seated in a private room. We had exceptional service and scrumptious food!
Blackstone Grille offered us a fixed menu to cater to our large group size and help with timing of the lunch. We had to get back to the real world at some point, I guess! Especially with all the home sales and real estate closings our amazing agents have been handling.
