The singer/songwriter, Joe South, famously recorded the song, Walk a Mile in My Shoes. The commonly used refrain about “walking a mile in my shoes” refers to being non-judgmental of others. Humorously, it is often extended to “before you criticize someone, walk a mile in his shoes – then when you do criticize that person, you’ll be a mile away and have his shoes”. Some say that research shows the sentiment is rooted in old, Cherokee Indian, native-American wisdom. It remains wonderful advice – “don’t judge a person until you have walked a mile in their shoes”.
The signs of an improving real estate market continue in our northeast Florida golf community. Strong increases in pending home sales, decreases in inventory and higher median prices are welcome signs. The improvements in real estate sales activity dovetails with an increase in new home construction by major national homebuilders. Says Sherry Davidson, President of Davidson Realty, “Pending sales are very encouraging. We wrote over 2,100 contracts in May which was a 36 percent gain over last May. Meanwhile inventory is down year-to-date over 30 percent.”

Considering that 1/3 of Americans take some kind of supplement, it is pretty scary to learn that the supplement industry in our country is not regulated…AT ALL. With no safety measures in place, the old saying “It may not help me but at least it won’t hurt me” really goes flying out the window. This means that it is really important to understand thoroughly what you are putting into your body.
